You can top up your AT HOP card online or in person.
Online Top-up
- Register your card: Go to ATHOP.co.nz and register your AT HOP card to create a MyAT account.
- Log in to your account: Access your MyAT account to view your card's details.
- Select the top-up option: Choose to top up online or set up an Auto Top-Up.
- Select the amount to top up: the amount that you want to add to your HOP card.
- Enter your Extraordinary card details to complete your transaction.
- Activate your top-up: Tag on at an AT HOP reader (bus, train, or ferry) or an electronic gate to activate the funds
In-Person Top-up
- Find a location: Visit an AT HOP Retailer (look for an "AT HOP is sold here" sign), a ticket and top-up machine at train stations or on the Northern busway, or a customer service centre.
- Place card on reader: Put your AT HOP card on the designated reader.
- Select top-up: Choose the "HOP money top up" option and the amount you wish to add.
- Make your payment: Pay with your Extraordinary card.
If the kiosks or a 'top up' location like a dairy accepts digital cards then that will work too.
